Tree Juice Maple Syrup comes from a family run farm. The Fairbairn family began their operation in the 1930’s, and they have steadily grown their business of collecting maple sap and turning it into delicious maple syrup ever since. They use about 1200 taps which pull from February to March, and they even started a maple syrup CSA, which has strengthened the community around their product and their farm.
All of the maple syrup you buy from Tree Juice, which can be purchased in our Local Pantry, is traditionally wood fire boiled, and bottled by hand. You can also visit their farm, Lazy Crazy Acres, to see in person their beautiful facility, and get a bit closer to the makers of this lovely product.
We work with Tree Juice because they are in line with exactly what CookUnity is all about; building community through transparent work, done with integrity. We are proud of their product, and proud to partner with them so that their maple syrup can be made available to a larger network of foodies.
